Empathic Resistance | an ethic through which (1) the individual resists persecution by expresses her authentic self in persecuting environments and (2) acknowledges the humanity of her persecuctors by expressing empathy towards them.
Abstinence Education | this strategy draws upon the theory of harm reduction to re-envision our relationship with swing voters in order to pass/defeat values-based amendments
A Blueprint for the LGBT Movement | TPP is currently developing a strategic blueprint for the LGBT movement.
Crisis Response in Social Change Organizations | a proposed model for the social change sector’s responses to crises and time-sensitive political events.
Family Dinners | intergenerational community-building events that fuse community building and political action for communities that are being scapegoated. We are currently using this model to engage LGBT individuals and allies in efforts to achieve marriage equality. We believe that marginalized communities, which include LGBT folks and immigrants, have much to learn from each other and have a unique opportunity to collaborate in the journey towards equality. We are actively looking for partners that are interested in exploring how this model could be adapted to work with immigrant communities.
Witness | a project that engages artists in bearing witness to the history we are living through. Art and experiences created through this project live in the public square, connecting people to each other and to action.
